AcWriMo - Homestretch!

It's the last week of AcWriMo, so it's your last chance to win a "THIS IS MY WRITING SHIRT" T-shirt and some other goodies. Here's our final question:

What's your writing "kryptonite"? Tell us what totally kills your writing productivity.

Read through the comments from other grad student writers and offer suggestions if you have successfully tackled one of the challenges... Or just commiserate - misery loves company! :)

The noise definitely.
When my roommate starts slamming the door, or people at the library start talking in hissing tone.

Thanks for sharing Cora! I have this issue too - it can be super distracting! I recently started listening to a white noise playlist on Spotify (on my headphones) while I'm writing/working on something that requires my full attention. It doesn't distract me as music tends to, but helps to drown out background noise.
